Epwell news

It was another lovely occasion on Palm Sunday to process around Epwell with Nigel Fletcher’s donkey and many people from other villages. Those of us who were not up with the lark for Swalcliffe’s New Fire service on Easter morning made up for it with a lovely service at our St Anne’s Church. Sunlight streamed through the windows poignantly, while small children anticipated the Easter egg hunt around the church with excitement.

The Father’s Day service this year is on Sunday 16th June at 10am. Everyone is most welcome and as usual there will be coffee and bacon sandwiches available before at 9.45am and after the service!

Make a note in your diaries for Afternoon Tea’in Epwell. We will be celebrating National Cream Tea Day to help raise funds for St Anne’s Church on Sunday 28th July from 3 to 5pm in Peter and Carolyn Koch de Gooreynd’s garden at Yarn Hill Cottage. More details to follow.
